My interest in woodworking began when I was in high school. By 1985 my interest developed into a passionate hobby and today, thanks to a supportive and understanding wife, I have a fully equipped workshop where I practice my craft almost daily.
Before selling my collection, I collected insulators as a hobby for many years. I am a member of the National Insulator Association (N.I.A.), Insulator Collector On the Net (ICON), and Western Canadian Insulator Club (WCIC). I had four backlit display cases in our home to show off my glass insulator collection and hundreds more insulators stored away in boxes. I liked the thrill of the hunt when sourcing insulators, whether it be in the wild, antique/collectable shops, or club meets with other collectors.
Glass tumbling was a natural extension to glass insulator collecting. My workshop is equipped with two 36" tumblers which I use to clean and restore glass, mostly bottles and insulators, to a pristine condition.
